Creative Practice
Interwoven with my philosophical endeavours, the broad theme of my creative research and practice is the development of the possibility for inspiring alternate approaches to a more sustainable and equitable world. As philosopher Theodor Adorno argued, art’s value is in its ability to support critical examination of our sociopolitical situation. My creative practice engages with socio-political issues of climate change; freedoms and responsibilities; corporate and political surveillance; with disciplines of community and citizenship; and with the idea of an equality of difference. I explore how art can expose difference, inspire equality, and reveal the possibility of affirmative change.
